I've been working in Wireless for almost a decade, spending the last 7 years as a Consulting Engineer for Cisco helping their customers maximize the potential of their Wi-Fi networks and fix all sorts of issues. I am a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in WireIess with a concentration in Wireless Design, as well as a CWNP Certified Wireless Secruity Professional (CWSP) and a Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA). I got my start as a contractor for Cisco managing the site survey gear used by the wireless team in RTP, NC. This led into a validation engineer role that was contracted to perform AP-on-a-Stick designs for the NYPD which eventually led into the Consulting Engineer role. In that role I acted as a trusted wireless expert advisor helping customers such as:
US Department of Transportation US Department of State
NYPD L'Oreal Advent Health Ford Motor Company
Ardent Mills Bayer Wells Fargo NC DHHS DMEA
ALEA Paramount ECU Health Gartner
Orange County Convention Center Community Health Choice
I was blessed to be able to assist these customers with Site Surveys, Migrations, Designs, Implementations, Network Assessments, Event Support, Troubleshooting, Testing, and long-term Consulting Support. When it comes to wireless support if you can name it I've probably done it. I started Cobb Wi-Fi Solutions to take the skills I honed at Cisco and put them to work for customers that don't have an in-house wireless expert but still need great Wi-Fi for their organization to accomplish their mission.
