Cobb Wi-Fi Solutions provides tailored services to address your organization's Wi-Fi needs. The services listed below cover the different phases of the wireless lifecycle and can be combined, separated, or customized as needed. Pricing will vary based on scope, complexity, and travel requirements but is generally based off of a $2000 weekly rate. Contact me for a specific quote.
Wireless Solution Design
-This service identifies the proper vendor(s), hardware, software, and features to fit your organization's Wi-Fi needs. After having an honest conversation with your team to gather requirements and set expectations, I will provide a complete report detailing what gear you should get, (WLCs, APs, etc) what software you should run (IOS-XE 17.15.4? 17.18.3? Aruba OS 10?), and what features you should implement (SSIDs, RRM, FT, type of WLAN security, etc).
WLAN Implementation
-You've got the gear, you've got a design, but you need guidance on HOW to make that design a reality. How do we actually deploy this thing? The WLAN implementation service involves taking a pre-existing design and producing a step by step guide (aka a "Method of Procedure") on how to put everything into production customized for your environment. This can be for a "greenfield" (brand new) site deployment or a migration or refresh for a "brownfield" (pre-existing) wireless deployment.
RF Predictive Design
-Every good Wi-Fi deployment needs a quality RF design. A predictive design involves getting accurate scaled floor plans of the site and using modeling software to determine how many Access Points are needed and where they should be placed to meet your organization's coverage and capacity requirements.
WLAN Configuration
-Sometimes you just want your network set-up by someone who knows what they're doing and don't want your team to have to deal with it. That's what this service is for. I will personally configure your wireless network in accordance with your organization's requirements and provide thorough customized documentation.
WLAN Assessment
-Want to know if your wireless network is in line with industry and vendor best practices? That's what the WLAN Assessment is for. I will review your wireless device configurations and create a report listing industry and vendor best practices and notating where the configuration is or is not in compliance, but I won't stop there. Just because it's a "best practice" doesn't always mean it's right for your network. I'll analyze the best practices in relation to your organization's requirements and document when it makes sense to choose a different path.
WLAN Testing
-Your network has been designed, implemented, and configured, now it's time to test it. This service provides a detailed test plan describing what tests should be performed to ensure all network services are functioning as required. The plan outlines all the equipment and steps necessary to perform the needed tests and can either be performed internally or by me personally depending on your preference.
Site Surveys
-A quality site survey is a must for optimal Wi-Fi deployments. A site survey measures the RF signal propagation throughout your environment using tools such as Hamina Onsite or the Ekahau Sidekick. This is how you measure whether the real life wireless environment matches your design requirements. Do we have coverage everywhere we need it? Is there interference? Where are our Access Points located? Site Surveys are how you answer all these questions and more.
